Simulate your Max Loss Limit
- Max Loss Limit$50,100 · locked

- Daily limit next$1,560 · LucidScale
Locked at $50,100 since day 6. Daily limit next: $1,560 (LucidScale). Room: $2,000.
Day 7: +$400, close $52,600. Max Loss Limit during the day $50,100 (locked); daily limit $1,320 (LucidScale), floor $50,880, the tighter line. Payout $500: the next day opens at $52,100, $2,000 above the line.
Illustrative P&L, not market data (the LucidPro sample is the hub post's invented week). The rules are Lucid's, read on 2026-10-08. The sim checks each close; an open loss that touches the line during the day can breach too.
Rule: LucidPro 50K: the Max Loss Limit sits $2,000 under the highest end-of-day balance and locks at $50,100 once the balance passes $52,100. Daily loss limit (if on): $1,200 under the day's open, soft; after a close above $52,100, 60% of the highest end-of-day profit (LucidScale), never falling.

- Day 7: +$400, close $52,600. Max Loss Limit during the day $50,100 (locked); daily limit $1,320 (LucidScale), floor $50,880, the tighter line. Payout $500: the next day opens at $52,100, $2,000 above the line.
It opens on the rules post's sample week on a 50K LucidPro account. The red line trails $2,000 under the highest close, from $48,000 up to $49,750. Day 6 closes at $52,200, past $52,100, so the line locks at $50,100 and the daily limit becomes LucidScale: $1,320, 60% of $2,200. The $500 payout after day 7 leaves $52,100, $2,000 above the line.
Our trailing drawdown calculator works in percentages of the peak. Lucid's line is a fixed dollar amount that stops at a set balance, so this simulator models Lucid's rule directly.
Where the line sits, and where it locks
| Account | Max Loss Limit | Locks once the balance passes | Locks at |
|---|---|---|---|
| $25,000 | $1,000 | $26,100 | $25,100 |
| $50,000 | $2,000 | $52,100 | $50,100 |
| $100,000 | $3,000 (LucidDirect: $3,500) | $103,100 (LucidDirect: $103,600) | $100,100 |
| $150,000 | $4,500 (LucidDirect: $5,000) | $154,600 (LucidDirect: $155,100) | $150,100 |
Lucid calls the middle column the Initial Trail Balance: the start, plus the Max Loss Limit, plus $100. The trail and the lock meet exactly there, so the line doesn't jump when it locks on its own. "If your account balance reached the MLL, your account will be breached."

End of day, or during the day
- LucidPro, LucidFlex, LucidDirect: end of day. "At the end of each trading session, the system calculates the account's highest closing balance."
- LucidDaily funded: always intraday. "Intraday drawdown brings your MLL up with your real-time P&L." The evaluation trails end of day or intraday, whichever you pick at checkout.
On an intraday trail, the day's high moves the line, not the close. Switch the simulator to LucidDaily: on day 2 the balance touches $51,700 and closes at $51,000, so the line goes to $49,700. An end-of-day trail would have put it at $49,000, $700 lower. On day 5 the high passes $52,100 and the line locks at $50,100, though the close, $52,000, never did. The simulator assumes each day's high came before its close, the worse order.

The daily loss limit: fixed, then LucidScale

- Optional on LucidPro, LucidFlex and LucidDaily, chosen at checkout. Built in on LucidDirect from 50K up.
- Soft. Hitting it locks you out until the next session, and "you do not lose your account for hitting DLL as long as the Max Loss Limit (MLL) has not been reached."
- It sits under the day's open. In the simulator's losing streak, the 50K limit stops a −$1,500 day at −$1,200. Switch it off and the same day leaves $500 of room, and the next day breaches.
- LucidScale (LucidPro funded, LucidDirect from 50K): once the account closes above the Initial Trail Balance, the limit becomes the highest end-of-day profit × 60%. "It does not decrease, even if the account draws down." LucidDaily keeps its fixed limit in both stages.
- The higher line binds. When the Max Loss Limit sits closer to the open than the daily limit does, it's the line you hit first, and that's a breach. Lucid spells this out for LucidDaily, whose fixed limit "does not trail upward": on 50K, any day the balance climbs more than $800 to a new high puts the line above the limit ($2,000 minus $1,200).
- LucidFlex: the help center calls the limit optional but prints no amount; the figures above are the plan card's. Lucid publishes no LucidScale limit for LucidFlex.

What a payout does to the line
- LucidFlex: "Once you request a payout from LucidFlex, your MLL automatically adjusts to the Locked MLL Balance." In the simulator's LucidFlex week, day 5 closes at $51,500 with the line at $49,500: $2,000 of room. A $750 request leaves $50,750 and moves the line up to $50,100. Room left: $650.
- LucidPro and LucidDaily: you can only take what sits above the buffer, which is the Initial Trail Balance. So by your first payout the line has locked, and the payout brings your balance back toward it. Lucid's advice: trade "as if the payout amount has already been removed from your balance."
- LucidDirect: Lucid publishes no buffer and no change to the line after a payout. Its first profit goal, $1,500 to $9,000 by size, already takes the balance past the Initial Trail Balance, so the line has locked by then too.
- LucidScale after a payout: Lucid says the limit "does not decrease"; it doesn't say whether a payout counts. The simulator keeps it.

Where Lucid's pages disagree
- 25K LucidPro daily loss limit. The evaluation and daily-loss pages say none; the funded page and the plan card say $600. The simulator uses $600.
- LucidScale wording. The plan cards and the LucidPro and LucidDirect funded pages say "60% of Peak EOD Balance". The daily-loss pages say "Highest end-of-day account profit × 60%". Read literally, the first would make the limit on a $52,200 balance $31,320, more than the account's whole drawdown. The simulator uses the formula.
- LucidDirect 25K Initial Trail Balance. Its daily-loss page lists "None"; its drawdown page gives $26,100. The simulator uses $26,100; that size has no daily loss limit either way.

Disclosure
The simulator uses illustrative P&L and Lucid's published rules. It isn't a forecast, and it says nothing about whether a Lucid account is worth buying. Your Lucid dashboard shows your real line. If a number here no longer matches Lucid's pages, email support@pulltrade.app and we'll correct it in public.
Frequently asked questions
Is Lucid Trading's drawdown trailing or static?
Trailing by a fixed dollar amount, then static. The Max Loss Limit follows your highest end-of-day balance and locks at your starting balance plus $100 once the balance passes the Initial Trail Balance, $52,100 on a 50K account. LucidDaily funded accounts trail your balance during the day instead.
When does the Lucid Max Loss Limit lock?
When your balance passes the Initial Trail Balance: the starting balance plus the Max Loss Limit plus $100. On a 50K LucidPro account that's $52,100, and the limit locks at $50,100. On LucidFlex, requesting a payout moves the limit straight to that locked level, even before the balance gets there.
What happens to the Lucid drawdown after a payout?
On LucidFlex the Max Loss Limit jumps to its locked level, the starting balance plus $100. On LucidPro and LucidDaily you can only request what sits above the buffer, which is the Initial Trail Balance, so the limit has already locked and the payout brings your balance closer to it. A LucidDirect first-payout goal also takes the balance past the Initial Trail Balance.
What is the LucidScale daily loss limit?
On LucidPro funded accounts and on LucidDirect from 50K up, once the account closes above its Initial Trail Balance, the fixed daily loss limit becomes the highest end-of-day profit × 60%. It rises with new highs and never falls: $2,200 of profit gives $1,320. LucidFlex and LucidDaily keep a fixed limit.
Is the Lucid daily loss limit a hard breach?
No. Every Lucid daily loss limit is soft: hitting it stops your trading until the next session but doesn't fail the account. The Max Loss Limit is the hard line. On LucidDaily the daily limit doesn't trail, so the Max Loss Limit can rise above it during the day; then the Max Loss Limit is the line you hit first.
