Sources: the plan articles linked in each section below, and the plan cards on lucidtrading.com, all checked 2026-10-03. Lucid's help center also lists a "LucidBlack (Legacy)" collection; it isn't on the current plan cards, so we don't cover it.
LucidPro
An evaluation with a profit target, then a funded account. Lucid's evaluation page says you can "pass the evaluation in one trading day": there's no minimum day count and no consistency rule until you're funded.
| Account | Profit target | Max Loss Limit | Daily loss limit (if on) | Max size |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| $25,000 | $1,250 | $1,000 | See the note below | 2 minis or 20 micros |
| $50,000 | $3,000 | $2,000 | $1,200 | 4 minis or 40 micros |
| $100,000 | $6,000 | $3,000 | $1,800 | 6 minis or 60 micros |
| $150,000 | $9,000 | $4,500 | $2,700 | 10 minis or 100 micros |
Note on 25K: Lucid's evaluation and daily-loss pages list no daily loss limit for the 25K account. Its funded page and the plan card on lucidtrading.com show $600. We list this under the contradictions further down.
Funded payouts. All of these must be true, and they reset after every approved payout:
- Consistency: "Your largest single-day profit must be no more than 40% of your total profit during the payout cycle." Accounts bought or reset before 11/28/2025 3:00 PM EST stay at 35%.
- Minimum profit goal per payout cycle: $250 / $500 / $750 / $1,000 for 25K / 50K / 100K / 150K.
- Buffer: your balance must sit above the starting balance plus the initial Max Loss Limit plus $100, and you can't withdraw the buffer itself.
- Size: the minimum request is $500. Maximums grow after the first payout.
| Account | Buffer balance | Minimum balance for a $500 payout | Max payout 1 | Max payout 2 onward |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| $25,000 | $26,100 | $26,600 | $1,000 | $1,500 |
| $50,000 | $52,100 | $52,600 | $2,000 | $2,500 |
| $100,000 | $103,100 | $103,600 | $2,500 | $3,000 |
| $150,000 | $154,600 | $155,100 | $3,000 | $3,500 |
There's no fixed payout window. Lucid disburses approved payouts within 2 business days. The funded account has no scaling plan, so full size is available from day one. With the daily loss limit switched on, the funded account starts on the same fixed limit as the evaluation. Once the account closes above the Initial Trail Balance (the same figures as the buffer balance above), that limit becomes the "LucidScale" daily loss limit: highest end-of-day account profit × 60%. It rises with new highs and never falls. The plan card lists 3 days to payout; the help-center payout page gives no day count.

LucidFlex
It has the same targets, Max Loss Limits and sizes as LucidPro. The evaluation adds a 50% consistency rule; the funded account drops it and pays out on different terms.
| Account | Profit target | Max Loss Limit | Evaluation consistency | Daily loss limit (if on) |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| $25,000 | $1,250 | $1,000 | 50% | $600 |
| $50,000 | $3,000 | $2,000 | 50% | $1,200 |
| $100,000 | $6,000 | $3,000 | 50% | $1,800 |
| $150,000 | $9,000 | $4,500 | 50% | $2,700 |
Lucid builds "a small cushion" into the 50% rule. In its example, a best day of up to $1,560 still passes when you hit the $3,000 target exactly on a 50K account. It also says the cushion "is NOT a fixed dollar amount". The help center calls the daily loss limit optional but prints no amount; the dollar figures above come from the plan card.
Funded payouts. There's no consistency rule and no buffer. You need two things per payout cycle:
- 5 days, each with at least the minimum daily profit: $100 / $150 / $200 / $250 for 25K / 50K / 100K / 150K.
- Positive net profit in the cycle ("even just $1").
The minimum request is $500. The maximum is "50% of Profit up to" $1,000 / $2,000 / $2,500 / $3,000, and it doesn't grow with later payouts. Lucid allows up to 5 payouts per account, then moves you live. After you request a payout, your Max Loss Limit moves to its locked level.
The funded account also has a scaling plan, updated at the end of each session:
| Funded profit | 25K | 50K | 100K | 150K |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| $0 to $999 | 1 mini or 10 micros | 2 minis or 20 micros | 3 minis or 30 micros | 4 minis or 40 micros |
| $1,000 to $1,999 | 2 minis or 20 micros | 3 minis or 30 micros | 4 minis or 40 micros | 5 minis or 50 micros |
| $2,000 to $2,999 | — | 4 minis or 40 micros | 5 minis or 50 micros | 6 minis or 60 micros |
| $3,000 to $4,499 | — | — | 6 minis or 60 micros | 8 minis or 80 micros |
| $4,500 and up | — | — | — | 10 minis or 100 micros |

LucidDaily
The evaluation targets, Max Loss Limits, sizes and 50% consistency (with the same cushion) match LucidFlex. Two checkout choices change the rules:
- Evaluation drawdown: end of day or intraday. Intraday counts unrealized profit and loss and makes the evaluation cheaper. Whichever you pick, the funded account always uses an intraday drawdown.
- Daily loss limit: on or off. If it's on, a fixed limit of $600 / $1,200 / $1,800 / $2,700 (25K / 50K / 100K / 150K) applies to both stages. It doesn't trail. If the trailing Max Loss Limit rises above it during a session, the Max Loss Limit becomes the tighter line, and touching that is a hard breach.
Funded payouts. There's no consistency rule, and you can request a payout every day you qualify. You need:
- Balance above the buffer: $26,100 / $52,100 / $103,100 / $154,600.
- Positive net profit since your last payout.
The minimum request is $500. The maximum is whatever profit sits above the buffer. Instead of payout caps, LucidDaily caps sim profit per day at $6,000 / $8,000 / $10,000 / $12,000. Meet or exceed it and Lucid moves you live automatically.
No news trading on LucidDaily funded accounts. For high-impact USD events you must be flat from 1 minute before to 1 minute after the release. Lucid treats a violation as a hard breach.

LucidDirect
LucidDirect has no evaluation: you buy a funded account and can earn payouts from the start. The rules are stricter, and the 100K and 150K accounts get wider Max Loss Limits than the other plans.
| Account | Max Loss Limit | Fixed daily loss limit | Max size |
|---|---|---|---|
| $25,000 | $1,000 | None | 2 minis or 20 micros |
| $50,000 | $2,000 | $1,200 | 4 minis or 40 micros |
| $100,000 | $3,500 | $2,100 | 6 minis or 60 micros |
| $150,000 | $5,000 | $3,000 | 10 minis or 100 micros |
From 50K up, the fixed daily loss limit becomes the LucidScale limit (highest end-of-day profit × 60%) once the account closes above its Initial Trail Balance.
Payouts. These reset after every approved payout:
- Consistency: "Your largest single-day profit must be no more than 20% of your total profit during the payout cycle."
- Profit goal per cycle. The minimum request is $500.
| Account | Profit goal, payout 1 | Profit goal, payout 2 onward | Max payouts 1 to 3 | Max payouts 4 to 5 |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| $25,000 | $1,500 | $1,250 | $1,000 | $1,000 |
| $50,000 | $3,000 | $2,500 | $2,000 | $2,500 |
| $100,000 | $6,000 | $3,500 | $2,500 | $3,000 |
| $150,000 | $9,000 | $4,500 | $3,000 | $3,500 |
The plan card lists 5 days to payout. That matches the arithmetic: a 20% cap needs at least five profitable days.

LucidMaxx (invite only)
You can't buy LucidMaxx. Lucid's risk team invites traders it picks by performance ("LucidMaxx status is earned, not requested"). The evaluation uses the usual targets and Max Loss Limits with a 40% consistency rule and a 5-trading-day minimum. Passing it moves you straight to a live account with daily, uncapped payouts, no daily loss limit, an end-of-day drawdown and up to 5 accounts. Evaluation prices rise with the number of live accounts you've blown without clearing drawdown:
| Account | Tier 1 (0 to 4 blown) | Tier 2 (5 to 8) | Tier 3 (9 to 12) | Tier 4 (13 or more) |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| $25,000 | $110 | $130 | $155 | $175 |
| $50,000 | $180 | $215 | $250 | $290 |
| $100,000 | $270 | $325 | $380 | $430 |
| $150,000 | $425 | $510 | $595 | $680 |
There's a 2-week cooldown after your last LucidMaxx live account is blown. Sources, all checked 2026-10-03: overview, evaluation rules, cooldown, pricing.
Drawdown: how Lucid's trailing limit locks
The four public plans' Max Loss Limits work the same way. Each starts a fixed dollar amount below your starting balance and rises with your highest end-of-day closing balance. On LucidDaily funded accounts, and on LucidDaily evaluations bought with the intraday option, it rises with real-time profit and loss instead. Once your balance passes the Initial Trail Balance, it locks at the starting balance plus $100. "If your account balance reached the MLL, your account will be breached."
| Plan | Account | Max Loss Limit | Initial Trail Balance | Locks at |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Pro, Flex, Daily | $25,000 | $1,000 | $26,100 | $25,100 |
| Pro, Flex, Daily | $50,000 | $2,000 | $52,100 | $50,100 |
| Pro, Flex, Daily | $100,000 | $3,000 | $103,100 | $100,100 |
| Pro, Flex, Daily | $150,000 | $4,500 | $154,600 | $150,100 |
| Direct | $25,000 | $1,000 | $26,100 | $25,100 |
| Direct | $50,000 | $2,000 | $52,100 | $50,100 |
| Direct | $100,000 | $3,500 | $103,600 | $100,100 |
| Direct | $150,000 | $5,000 | $155,100 | $150,100 |
This is a fixed-dollar trail with a lock, not a percentage of the high-water mark, so our trailing drawdown calculator, which works in percentages of the peak, doesn't model it. The worked week below does the arithmetic by hand. Sources: the drawdown pages linked under each plan, checked 2026-10-03.
Rules that apply to every plan
- Profit split: 90% to you, 10% to Lucid, on every plan.
- Trading hours (LucidPro, LucidFlex, LucidDirect): be flat by 4:45 PM EST, Monday to Friday. Lucid closes open positions then, and holding past it "does not result in a failed account". Trading reopens at 6:00 PM EST, Sunday to Thursday. The hours page doesn't name LucidDaily, so for that plan the cutoff is not published. Source, checked 2026-10-03.
- News: allowed on LucidFlex, LucidPro and LucidDirect; a hard breach on LucidDaily. Source, checked 2026-10-03.
- Allowed: automated strategies and trade copiers (you own any software errors), scaling in, genuine scalping and flipping. Lucid "strongly discourages" martingaling. Same source.
- Hedging: prohibited, including opposite positions in correlated contracts across accounts (long ES in one account, short NQ in another). The first flag resets the accounts to the prior day's balance; repeat offenses breach them. Source, checked 2026-10-03.
- Microscalping: you're flagged if more than 50% of your profits come from trades held 5 seconds or less. Source, checked 2026-10-03.
- High-frequency trading: prohibited. Source, checked 2026-10-03.
- Account limits: up to 5 funded accounts per household, and 10 evaluation and funded accounts combined. Source, checked 2026-10-03.
- Inactivity: an account without at least $1 of net profit or loss in 30 calendar days is deleted. A breached evaluation is deleted after 30 days unless you reset it. Source, checked 2026-10-03.
- Commissions are charged per side. Examples: ES and NQ $1.75, MES and MNQ $0.50, GC $2.30, MGC $0.80, CL $2.00. Full table, checked 2026-10-03.

On that day every card also showed a limited-time discount. We don't reprint it because it changes. Resets are sold separately and "are not automatic or free". Lucid's customization pages say switching the daily loss limit off costs more. On 2026-10-03, though, the cards' headline fee didn't change when we flipped that switch; only the reset fee did. Check the checkout total before you pay. Sources: plan cards on lucidtrading.com, account fees and LucidMaxx pricing, all checked 2026-10-03.
Worked example: one sample week on a 50K LucidPro funded account
These are the rules in play, all from the LucidPro section above. Payouts need a best day of at most 40% of cycle profit, a $500 minimum profit goal, and a balance above the $52,100 buffer. The smallest request is $500, which needs a $52,600 balance. The Max Loss Limit sits $2,000 below the highest close and locks at $50,100. The daily loss limit is switched on: a fixed $1,200 until the account closes above $52,100. The week is invented; the rules are Lucid's.
| Day | Day P&L | Close | Cycle profit | Best day | Best day ÷ cycle profit | Max Loss Limit after the close |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Mon | +$900 | $50,900 | $900 | $900 | 100.00% | $48,900 |
| Tue | +$300 | $51,200 | $1,200 | $900 | 75.00% | $49,200 |
| Wed | −$200 | $51,000 | $1,000 | $900 | 90.00% | $49,200 |
| Thu | +$400 | $51,400 | $1,400 | $900 | 64.29% | $49,400 |
| Fri | +$350 | $51,750 | $1,750 | $900 | 51.43% | $49,750 |
Friday's numbers in our consistency calculator (best day $900, total $1,750, threshold 40) read 51.43%. They also show the gap: $900 × 100 ÷ 40 = $2,250 required, so $500 more, earned on days smaller than $900.
The consistency rule isn't the binding wall this week, though. The buffer is. At $51,750 the balance is still under the $52,100 buffer, and Lucid's table puts the minimum balance for a $500 payout at $52,600. That's $850 away, $350 more than the consistency gap.
| Next week | Day P&L | Close | Cycle profit | Best day ÷ cycle profit | Max Loss Limit | Daily loss limit |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Mon | +$450 | $52,200 | $2,200 | 40.91% | $50,100 (locked) | $1,320 (60% × $2,200) |
| Tue | +$400 | $52,600 | $2,600 | 34.62% | $50,100 (locked) | $1,560 (60% × $2,600) |
Monday's close passes $52,100, so the trail locks at $50,100. The fixed $1,200 daily limit becomes the LucidScale limit. Consistency still fails on Monday at 40.91%. By Tuesday all four conditions hold: 34.62% is under 40%, $2,600 clears the $500 goal, the balance is above the buffer, and $52,600 is exactly the minimum for a $500 request. Requesting that $500 drops the balance back to $52,100, the buffer itself. Lucid's advice is to trade "as if the payout amount has already been removed from your balance".
On this week the buffer, not the consistency rule, set the payout date. Run both before you plan a cycle. For the LucidFlex evaluation the same calculator works at a 50% threshold. Say you hit the 50K's $3,000 target with an $1,800 best day: that's 60%. The calculator's conservative answer is $1,800 × 100 ÷ 50 = $3,600, so $600 more. Lucid's cushion may let you pass a little earlier, but it publishes no exact percentage. If you'd rather start from the target, the profit target calculator turns $3,000 on a $50,000 account (6%) into a trade count from your own win rate and reward-to-risk, and refuses to print a count if your expectancy is zero or negative.
Where Lucid's own pages disagree
- 25K LucidPro daily loss limit. The evaluation and daily-loss pages say none. The funded page and the plan card say $600 (optional).
- "No more than" or "below" 40%? The payouts page says your largest day must be "no more than 40%". The consistency page says to keep trading "until your largest day is below 40%". Treat 40% as a line to stay under, not a number to land on.
- LucidFlex payout maximum. The payouts text says "50% of their account balance". The table on the same page says "50% of Profit". We quote the table.
- LucidScale wording. The plan cards say "60% of Peak EOD Balance". The help center's formula is "Highest end-of-day account profit × 60%". We use the help center's formula, which is the one with a worked example.
Not published
- How much switching the daily loss limit off adds to the price (see the prices section).
- A daily cutoff time for LucidDaily positions.
- Minimum trading days for LucidDaily, in either stage. The help center only says the 50% cushion lets you pass the evaluation "in two days".
- A day count for LucidPro or LucidDirect payouts in the help center. The 3 and 5 above come from the plan cards.
- Daily loss limit amounts for LucidFlex in the help center. The figures above come from the plan card.
Where we sit
We don't run a prop firm, we're not affiliated with Lucid Trading, and we earn nothing if you buy from Lucid. We sell the Prop Firm Challenge Toolkit, a TradingView indicator that tracks daily-loss, drawdown and target buffers in dollars from the rule numbers you enter. Lucid lists TradingView among its supported platforms (checked 2026-10-03). The toolkit doesn't read Lucid's dashboard, and Lucid's dashboard is the source of truth. The two calculators linked above are free and run in your browser.

Every rule above is quoted or summarized from the linked Lucid Trading page as read on 2026-10-03. The worked week uses invented trades and Lucid's published rules. It isn't a forecast, and it says nothing about whether a Lucid account is worth buying. If any row here no longer matches Lucid's own pages, email support@pulltrade.app and we'll correct it in public.
