How do E8 Markets drawdown locks, best-day rules and payout caps differ by program?

Every E8 Markets 1-Step program handles its drawdown lock and payout buffer differently. On E8 One, the dynamic drawdown trails your highest closed balance and locks permanently at your starting balance ($100,000) once closed profit equals the drawdown, so a full withdrawal from $106,000 back to $100,000 touches the locked floor and fails the account. On E8 Pro, the static drawdown stays under the starting balance until your first payout moves it permanently to $100,000, while any single day's profit above 2% of the initial balance is removed automatically overnight.

How does E8 Markets compare with FTMO, FundedNext, The5ers and FundingPips?

Comparing 1-Step and 2-Step CFD and futures prop firm rules? Benchmark E8 Markets' dynamic drawdown and 40%/35% best-day payout rules against FTMO's 1-Step 50% consistency and 2-Step scaling plan, FundedNext's On-Demand 40% rule and 15% challenge bonus, The5ers' 00:00 server-time snapshot floor, and FundingPips' weekly, bi-weekly and On Demand reward cycles. Method and privacy

Method: E8 One Dynamic Drawdown trails highest closed balance and locks permanently at starting balance once closed profit >= drawdown; funded payout requires bestDayProfit ÷ cycleProfit <= 0.40 and netPayout > 0.50 × dailyDrawdown. E8 Pro removes a day's profit above 2% of initial balance (it never counts), pays 50% of the profit that counts per request, and locks Static Drawdown at starting balance after the 1st payout. E8 Signature (80% split only) requires bestDayProfit ÷ cycleProfit <= 0.35, 5 profitable days >= 0.3%, and leaves the drawdown buffer in the account; its floor sits at the starting balance after the 1st payout. Signature Futures accounts bought from 1 Oct 2026 have lower caps, a $4,000 drawdown on 150K and at most 4 payouts; E8 Zero allows 4 payouts (5 if bought before 1 Oct 2026). Splits: E8 One 80/90/100%, E8 Pro and E8 Zero 80/100%. Rules re-read on 2026-10-22.

Common questions

How does E8 One's Dynamic Drawdown work compared to E8 Pro's Static Drawdown?

On E8 One, your Dynamic Drawdown trails only when you close a profit (not open floating equity) and locks permanently at your starting balance once your closed profit equals the drawdown (e.g., $106,000 on a $100K 6% account). On E8 Pro, your Static Drawdown stays fixed below starting balance until your first payout, which moves the floor permanently to your starting balance.

Why does withdrawing all my profit on a locked E8 One account fail the account?

Because a payout does not reset E8 One's locked Dynamic Drawdown below your starting balance. In E8's own help-center example, withdrawing all $6,000 from a $106,000 account drops the balance to $100,000, touching the locked $100,000 Dynamic Drawdown floor and violating the account.

What is the E8 Markets consistency rule on E8 One, E8 Pro, E8 Signature, and E8 Zero?

In the funded stage, E8 One requires your best day to be at most 40% of cycle profit and E8 Signature requires at most 35% before you can request a payout (exceeding it does not fail the account; you simply continue trading). E8 Pro has no consistency rule at either stage, and E8 Zero has a 40%-of-target rule only during the challenge.

How does E8 Pro's 2% Daily Profit Cap work?

On E8 Pro (both challenge and funded), only 2% of your initial balance per day ($2,000 on a $100K account) counts toward your profit target or balance. Any profit earned above 2% in a single day is automatically removed between 00:00 and 01:00 server time.

Limits and trading risk

These tools calculate from your inputs, supported historical records or explicitly labelled teaching examples. They do not verify a live account, predict future returns or confirm that a broker or prop-firm rule has been met. Missing costs, floating losses and changed market conditions can materially change outcomes. Trading can lose the capital committed to it; check the stated method and your account specifications.
