What limits an Alpha Futures payout: the 50% request cap, consistency and the loss limit

On Alpha Futures Qualified accounts, two rules catch traders off guard on their first withdrawal request. First, on Zero, Standard and Advanced plans you can request up to 50% of the profit in your account per payout, and you receive 90% of the amount you request. Alpha's payout policy lists that 50% rule for those three plans only; it is not published for Direct. Because Advanced has a $1,000 minimum payout request, you must reach at least $2,000 in total profit ($2,000 × 50% = $1,000) before the withdrawal button unlocks. Second, your end-of-day Maximum Loss Limit (MLL) never moves down after a withdrawal ("If MLL was at $49,200 before payout, it will be after as well").

How Alpha Futures compares with Topstep, Tradeify, Take Profit Trader and Apex

Evaluating several futures prop firms? Compare Alpha Futures' end-of-day MLL and 50% request rule with Topstep's Express Funded 50% withdrawal and MLL reset to $0, Tradeify's Select Flex 50% payout and Lightning 20% consistency tiers, Take Profit Trader's PRO buffer zone and intraday trailing drawdown and Apex Trader Funding's 30% windfall rule. Method and privacy

Method: EOD MLL trails highest end-of-day balance and locks permanently at starting balance (never moves down after a withdrawal). On Qualified Zero, Standard, and Advanced plans, max withdrawal request = min(profitInAccount × 0.50, planMaxPayoutRequest), and request must be >= planMinPayoutRequest ($200 Zero, $500 Standard, $1,000 Advanced); Alpha doesn't publish the 50% rule for Direct. Qualified consistency is strict: no single day at or above 40% (Zero, Standard) or 20% (Direct) of the profit since the last request. Nothing is paid while any rule blocks the request. Trader receives 90% of requested payout.

Common questions

Why does Alpha Futures Advanced 50K require $2,000 in profit before I can request the $1,000 minimum payout?

On Alpha Futures Zero, Standard, and Advanced Qualified accounts, you can request up to 50% of the profit in your account per withdrawal. Because Advanced has a $1,000 minimum payout request, 50% of your profit must be at least $1,000—meaning your total profit must reach $2,000 ($1,000 on Standard for a $500 minimum request, $400 on Zero for a $200 minimum request).

Does my Alpha Futures Maximum Loss Limit (MLL) reset to $50,000 or move down when I take a payout?

No. Alpha Futures' End-of-Day MLL trails your highest EOD balance up to your starting balance ($50,000 on a 50K account) and never moves down after a withdrawal. As Alpha Futures states: 'If MLL was at $49,200 before payout, it will be after as well.' Any dollar you withdraw reduces your remaining drawdown cushion dollar-for-dollar.

Which Alpha Futures plans have a consistency rule in Qualified (funded) accounts?

In Qualified accounts, Zero and Standard enforce a 40% consistency rule (no single day at or above 40% of the profit since your last request) plus 5 winning days of $200+. Advanced has no Qualified consistency rule (only 5 winning days of $200+), while Direct enforces a 20% consistency rule (no single day at or above 20%) plus a cycle profit target.

Is Alpha Futures' 2% Daily Loss Guard a hard breach?

No. On accounts with the 2% Daily Loss Guard (Zero Evaluation & Qualified, Standard Qualified, and Direct), hitting the daily limit liquidates open positions and pauses trading until the next session without failing the account, provided your End-of-Day MLL is not breached.

Rehearse the rules before they cost a payout
