TradingView's AI Screener turns a sentence into a screen: describe the crypto coins you want, and it applies the matching filters in the Crypto Coins Screener, adds the columns and sorts the results. It came to the Crypto Coins Screener on October 22, 2026, after the Stock Screener's version in August. Open it with the AI icon in the upper-left corner of the filter panel, or press Shift + A. The free Basic plan gets the ready-made prompts only; typed prompts take a paid plan, 100 a month on Essential up to 500 on Ultimate, per TradingView's pricing page on 2026-10-29.
A simulated schematic, not a screenshot: no TradingView artwork, tickers or prices. Each row's bars only stand in for its market cap and weekly performance.
Read as text
- 1. Open the AI panel: the AI icon, or Shift + A.
- 2. Describe the screen: 6 to 164 characters, English best.
- 3. Filters applied: yours replaced by the prompt's.
- 4. Columns and order: sorted by the main metric.
- 5. Open Explanation: how each part was read.
- Typed prompts use the monthly balance; ready-made ones don't. Basic gets the ready-made ones.
How this window was chosen: From TradingView's October 22, 2026 post on the Crypto Coins Screener's AI, its AI Screener help and our signed-out look at the Crypto Coins Screener, all read 2026-10-29. Signed out, the AI button asks you to join; we didn't run a prompt.
What does the AI Screener do in the Crypto Coins Screener?
It sets up the screen for you, using the screener's own metrics. TradingView's post Crypto Coins Screener: now with AI, dated October 22, 2026: "Describe the crypto assets you want to find in plain text, and it turns your request into a working screen in the Crypto Coins Screener — applying the relevant filters, organizing the table, and sorting the results."
Four things happen when you run a prompt, in TradingView's words:
- Filters. "The AI Screener interprets your request using the metrics already available in the Crypto Coins Screener." Ask for "crypto coins above $1B in market cap with positive performance this week" and "it identifies the corresponding conditions and applies them for you".
- Columns. "Relevant columns are brought into the table, including any that weren't previously displayed."
- Order. "The assets are ordered according to the main metric in your prompt." Ask for the most actively traded large caps, and "trading volume becomes central to the resulting view".
- Layout. "If needed, the Screener also switches to the table layout automatically."
Two more: an Explanation in the AI panel shows "how your words were translated into Screener conditions, which columns were selected, and what determines the order of the results", and a typo "won't necessarily stop your search".
What doesn't it do?
It doesn't add data the screener doesn't have, keep your filters, or give advice. From TradingView's AI Screener help and the October 22 post:
- Only existing filters. If it can't match your words, you get "AI couldn't map to existing filters. Try rephrasing your request."
- It replaces your setup. "Running a new AI Screener request replaces the currently applied filters, columns, column set, and sorting settings."
- Two screeners only. "Currently, the AI feature is available only in the Stock Screener and Crypto Screener." Not the ETF, bond, CEX or DEX pairs screeners, and not the Pine Screener.
- Not advice. "Screener results are intended to support your own research and shouldn't be treated as financial advice or recommendations."
- A beta. The help calls it "a public beta stage", and says request limits during the beta are "not guaranteed and may change".
So it's a faster way to build a screen, not a new data source. What the Crypto Coins Screener can filter on, signed out on 2026-10-29: Rank, Mkt cap, FD mkt cap, Vol / mkt cap, Addr with balance, Vol in USD, Vol chg %, Tx vol in USD, Chg %, Perf % and Category in its filter row, and a Price column, and column sets for performance (Perf % 1W through All Time, Volatility), technicals (Tech rating, RSI, Mom, CCI, Stoch), valuation (NVT, Velocity, Total supply), derivatives (Open interest, Funding, Liquidations 24h), addresses (Daily active addr, Newly funded addrs), transactions (Txs number, Large txs) and sentiment (Galaxy score, Social dom %). A prompt that names one of those has something to map to.
How do you use the AI Screener on crypto?
Open the Crypto Coins Screener, open the AI panel, type a prompt between 6 and 164 characters, and press Enter. The steps, from TradingView's help and post (the first from our signed-out look):
- Open the Crypto Coins Screener: tradingview.com/crypto-coins-screener/. On the site's menu we saw it under Products → Screeners → Crypto coins.
- Open the AI panel: the AI icon in the upper-left corner of the filter panel, or Shift + A.
- Type your prompt in the input field. "Prompts must be between 6 and 164 characters long." Any language TradingView supports works, "but for the highest quality results, English is recommended."
- Press Enter or click the arrow at the right of the field. The filters, columns and order are set.
- Check the Explanation: click the AI icon again and select Explanation. The arrow on its left takes you back to the input.
Not sure what to ask? Open the AI panel and pick a ready-made prompt, such as TradingView's "Coins with low market cap to TVL ratio" or "Coins with MACD bullish crossover on daily timeframe", or type a keyword to filter the list. TradingView says "using these templates doesn't reduce your monthly request balance".
Signed out on 2026-10-29, the AI button opened a box headed "Build screens with AI" that read "Describe your screening idea to AI Screener and let it select filters and sort the results for you. Join for free to try it." We didn't sign in or run a prompt, so the steps above are TradingView's.
How do you write a prompt that maps?
Name a metric, a condition and, if it matters, a period and an order. TradingView's own advice when a request fails: be "more specific by mentioning the market, metric, industry, or condition you want to screen for". The check at the top of this page looks for those parts. Some prompts that name them:
| You want | A prompt that names it | What it names |
|---|---|---|
| Big coins rising this week | crypto coins above $1B in market cap with positive performance this week | metric, condition, period |
| Heavy trading relative to size | coins with the highest volume to market cap ratio | metric, order |
| Oversold large caps | large-cap coins with RSI below 30 | metric, condition |
| Valuation against locked value | coins with low market cap to TVL ratio | metric, condition |
The first is TradingView's example; the last is one of its ready-made prompts. The middle two are ours, built from the screener's columns; we haven't run them.
How many AI Screener requests do you get on each plan?
None you can type on Basic; 100 to 500 a month on the paid plans. The pricing page's "AI screener requests" row, read on 2026-10-29, with each plan's price per month billed annually:
| Plan | Typed prompts a month | Price |
|---|---|---|
| Basic | Preset requests only | $0 |
| Essential | 100 | $12.95 |
| Plus | 150 | $29.95 |
| Premium | 250 | $59.95 |
| Ultimate | 500 | $199.95 |
The balance "is displayed above the input field" and "resets automatically on the first day of every month at 00:00 UTC". Two things that change what you use: ready-made prompts don't count toward it, and "if you click the stop button during generation, the request will still count toward your monthly limit." Neither TradingView page says whether the Stock and Crypto screeners share one balance.
The Crypto Coins Screener itself is on every plan, Basic included: the pricing page ticks the stock, ETF, DEX and crypto screeners for all five. What a paid plan adds there besides typed prompts is in the plan picker.
Why isn't my AI Screener prompt working?
Five causes, from TradingView's help, and the fix for each.
| What happens | Cause | Fix |
|---|---|---|
| "AI couldn't map to existing filters. Try rephrasing your request." | No metric the screener has, or too vague | Name the metric and the condition |
| A prompt too short or too long | TradingView takes 6 to 164 characters | Keep the metric, the condition and the period |
| Your own filters are gone | A new AI request replaces them | Save the screen before you run a prompt |
| Odd results in another language | English gives the best results | Write the prompt in English |
| No balance left | The month's typed prompts are used | Use a ready-made prompt, or wait for the 1st, 00:00 UTC |
Use itCheck the Explanation before you trust a screen: it says which conditions the AI applied and why the list is in that order.
Watch outA prompt the AI read differently from what you meant still uses a request. The check above can't see how TradingView's AI will read it, only whether it names what the AI needs.

Where we stand
On 2026-10-29 we read TradingView's October 22, 2026 post on the Crypto Coins Screener, its August post on the AI Screener (modified October 23), its AI Screener help and its pricing page, and opened the Crypto Coins Screener signed out. We're on the free Basic plan and didn't run a prompt. The check at the top is ours: it looks for the parts TradingView's help names, and it can't tell how TradingView's AI will read a prompt.
The AI Screener filters what the screener already shows; it doesn't trade. If a screen becomes a set of rules you want on the chart, that's a Pine script: each tool in our Pine v6 stack is one you paste into the Pine Editor. TradingView doesn't endorse us. We're in its partner program, so our links to TradingView are partner links: if you open a new account through one and buy a plan, TradingView may pay us, at no cost to you.

Frequently asked questions
Does TradingView have an AI crypto screener?
Yes. Since October 22, 2026 the AI Screener works in TradingView's Crypto Coins Screener: open the AI panel from the icon in the upper-left corner of the filter panel, or press Shift + A, and describe the coins you want. It applies the matching filters, adds the columns and sorts the results.
Is the TradingView AI Screener free?
Partly. TradingView's pricing page, read on 2026-10-29, gives the free Basic plan preset requests only, the ready-made prompts. Prompts you type yourself take a paid plan: 100 a month on Essential, 150 on Plus, 250 on Premium and 500 on Ultimate.
How many AI Screener requests do I get?
100 a month on Essential, 150 on Plus, 250 on Premium and 500 on Ultimate, per the pricing page on 2026-10-29. The balance shows above the input field and resets on the first day of every month at 00:00 UTC. Ready-made prompts don't count; a request you stop while it runs still does.
Why does the AI Screener say it couldn't map my request?
TradingView's AI only uses the filters the screener already has. If it can't match your words to them it shows "AI couldn't map to existing filters. Try rephrasing your request." Name the metric and the condition, for example market cap above $1B, and keep the prompt between 6 and 164 characters.
Does the AI Screener keep my own filters?
No. TradingView's help says a new AI request replaces the filters, columns, column set and sorting already applied. In the Stock Screener the market stays the same unless your prompt names another one. Save a screen you want to keep before you run a prompt.
Can I use the TradingView AI Screener on my phone?
On mobile web, says TradingView's October 22 post, and its help now says the AI Screener is supported on mobile devices. Its August post on the Stock Screener version had said mobile wasn't yet supported. We didn't test it on a phone.
