AquaFunded rules depend on the model. On 2026-10-19 its homepage plan card sells Instant (Standard, Pro, Flex), One Step (Standard, Flex) and Two Step (Standard, Pro, Elite). Every model resets its daily floor at 00:00 UTC, most of them off the higher of balance and equity; the maximum loss is static on Two Step Standard, Two Step Elite and One Step Flex and trails on the rest. None has a time limit, and funded accounts pay every 14 days at 90%.
AquaFunded models at a glance
| Model | Steps | Profit target | Daily loss | Maximum loss | Profitable days | Consistency rule | Split when funded |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Instant Standard | None, funded at once | None | 3% | 5%, trailing | 5 | 15% | 90% |
| Instant Pro | None | None | 3% | 6%, trailing | 5 | 20% | 90% |
| Instant Flex | None | None | 2% | 4%, trailing | 7 | None | 90% |
| One Step Standard | 1 | 9% | 3% | 6%, trailing | 3 | None listed | 90% |
| One Step Flex | 1 | 10% | 3% | 12%, static | None; 3 when funded | None listed | 90% |
| Two Step Standard | 2 | 8%, then 5% | 5% | 8%, static | 3 | None listed | 90% |
| Two Step Pro | 2 | 10%, then 5% | 5% | 10%, trailing | None; 3 when funded | 50%, funded only | 90% |
| Two Step Elite | 2 | 8%, then 5% | 4% | 10%, static | 3 | None listed | 90% |
Profitable days need 0.5% profit each and needn't be consecutive. There's no time limit, but 30 days without a trade breaches the account. Forex leverage is 1:100 in a challenge and 1:50 funded or on Instant (indices and commodities 1:20 and 1:10, crypto 1:2). The platforms are MetaTrader 5, cTrader, MatchTrader and TradeLocker; the forex funding and Pay Later pages mark MatchTrader and TradeLocker "Available 🇺🇸", MetaTrader 5 and cTrader not. Commissions are "$5 per lot" on forex and commodities and $0 on indices and crypto; AquaFunded doesn't say whether that's per side or per round turn.

How AquaFunded measures daily and maximum loss
"At 00:00 UTC, we calculate the daily drawdown based on the higher value of either your account balance or equity," and the floor sits 3% (One Step, Instant Standard), 4% (Two Step Elite) or 5% (Two Step Standard and Pro) under that snapshot. 00:00 UTC is 8:00 PM ET and 1:00 AM in London today; after the clocks change (October 25 in London, November 1 in the US) it's 7:00 PM ET and midnight in London.
AquaFunded's Two Step Standard example: $102,000 of equity at the reset makes the floor "$102,000 - $5,100 = $96,900"; with a $2,000 open loss, "the balance is $100,000 (higher value used)" and the floor is $95,000. Instant Pro and Flex say only "balance or equity" and print $3,000 and $2,000 on $100,000, so our check takes the same snapshot less 3% and 2% of the account size.
Two Step Standard, Two Step Elite and One Step Flex have a static maximum loss: a $100,000 Two Step Standard account breaches if equity "falls below 92% of the initial balance." The other five trail. (Trailing vs static in general: trailing vs static drawdown.) One Step Standard and Two Step Pro keep 6% and 10% of the starting balance under the highest balance or equity, Instant Pro 6% under the highest equity ($105,000 puts it at $99,000). Instant Flex's example takes 4% of the peak itself: $105,000 to $100,800. Instant Standard's 5% moves only at the reset ($103,000 lifts it to $98,000) and "cannot move back down." None of these five articles says the floor ever stops trailing.
Day 5: snapshot $97,000. The daily floor, $92,150, is the tighter: $4,850 of room. The $92,000 maximum loss doesn't move.
Illustrative balances, not market data: all five days are invented. The rules are AquaFunded's, as quoted in the daily and maximum loss section and read 2026-10-19. The film samples 00:00 UTC only; an intraday high would lift a trailing floor further.
Rule: daily floor = the 00:00 UTC snapshot (the higher of balance and equity) − 5% of it; maximum loss = $100,000 − 8% ($92,000), static. Equity at either ends the account, so the higher one binds.
Read as text
- Day 1 (invented): balance $100,000, equity $100,000 at 00:00 UTC; the snapshot is the higher, $100,000. Daily floor $95,000, maximum loss $92,000. The tighter is the daily floor, $5,000 away.
- Day 2 (invented): balance $102,000, equity $103,000 at 00:00 UTC; the snapshot is the higher, $103,000. Daily floor $97,850, maximum loss $92,000. The tighter is the daily floor, $5,150 away.
- Day 3 (invented): balance $106,000, equity $106,000 at 00:00 UTC; the snapshot is the higher, $106,000. Daily floor $100,700, maximum loss $92,000. The tighter is the daily floor, $5,300 away.
- Day 4 (invented): balance $101,000, equity $101,000 at 00:00 UTC; the snapshot is the higher, $101,000. Daily floor $95,950, maximum loss $92,000. The tighter is the daily floor, $5,050 away.
- Day 5 (invented): balance $97,000, equity $97,000 at 00:00 UTC; the snapshot is the higher, $97,000. Daily floor $92,150, maximum loss $92,000. The tighter is the daily floor, $4,850 away.
The week behind the film, invented, on $100,000:
| Day | Balance at 00:00 UTC | Equity at 00:00 UTC | Snapshot | Daily floor, 5% | Standard's maximum loss | Pro's maximum loss | Room, Standard / Pro |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | $100,000 | $100,000 | $100,000 | $95,000 | $92,000 | $90,000 | $5,000 / $5,000 |
| 2 | $102,000 | $103,000 | $103,000 | $97,850 | $92,000 | $93,000 | $5,150 / $5,150 |
| 3 | $106,000 | $106,000 | $106,000 | $100,700 | $92,000 | $96,000 | $5,300 / $5,300 |
| 4 | $101,000 | $101,000 | $101,000 | $95,950 | $92,000 | $96,000 | $5,050 / $5,000 |
| 5 | $97,000 | $97,000 | $97,000 | $92,150 | $92,000 | $96,000 | $4,850 / $1,000 |
On Day 4 Pro's trailing floor, $10,000 under the $106,000 high, sits above the daily one.
Two Step Pro's 10% looks roomier than Standard's 8% until the account grows: by Day 5 it leaves $1,000 where Standard leaves $4,850.- Daily floor
- $97,850 = $103,000 − $5,150 (5% of the snapshot)
- Maximum loss
- $92,000 = $100,000 − 8% ($8,000), static
- Open loss
- Challenge: no open-loss line; it applies to funded accounts only.
Equity $98,500 is $650 above the tighter floor, the daily floor at $97,850.
AquaFunded's CFD rules as quoted on this page, read 2026-10-19. Touching a floor counts as a breach here, and slippage isn't modelled. Instant Pro's and Instant Flex's daily floor is our reading (the higher of balance and equity, less a share of the account size). The open-loss line uses the 00:00 balance you enter; AquaFunded measures it on the balance at the time.
The check opens on Day 2 with equity at $98,500, $650 above the daily floor.

AquaFunded Instant Funding rules
- Instant Standard (accounts bought on or after 8 September 2026): a combined open loss of 1% of the starting balance is a strike: the first cuts your split to 50%, the second to 25%, the third breaches the account.
- Instant Pro: open losses of 2% of the starting balance close the account for good, 1% on $300K and $400K accounts. The 20% consistency rule is "for a limited time"; accounts bought before 8 September 2026 keep 15%.
- Instant Flex, $5,000 to $100,000: a 1% open loss breaches the account, and each reward cycle pays at most 5% of the starting balance ($5,000 on $100,000).

AquaFunded One Step and Two Step rules
Only closed profit counts toward a target.
- One Step Flex: the 12% static maximum loss applies to accounts bought on or after 31 August 2026; earlier ones keep 10%. The card says "Pass to funded in 1 day": the challenge has no minimum days.
- Two Step Pro: no minimum days in either phase, then 3 when funded, with the 50% consistency rule (25% for accounts bought before 31 August 2026).
- Wave Stop, funded only: at a 2% open loss on the balance, AquaFunded "will, in most cases, automatically close all open trades." The first time cuts your split to 50%; the second breaches the account. It covers the Two Step models and One Step Standard.

Does AquaFunded have a consistency rule?
On three models. (Consistency rules in general: prop firm consistency rule.) AquaFunded's is a payout gate: your best day must be under the threshold, as a share of the payout period's profit, before you can request.
Instant Standard sets it at 15%, Instant Pro at 20% and Two Step Pro, funded only, at 50%. AquaFunded's examples: a $1,500 best day needs more than $10,000 of total profit at 15%, $7,500 at 20% and $3,000 at 50%.
Instant Flex has none, and the other plan cards list none. Going over isn't a breach: "Your account will not be terminated." Our consistency calculator runs each threshold.

AquaFunded payout rules
The first payout opens "14 days after placing their first trade on the funded account," each later one 14 days after the first trade following a withdrawal. You need a balance above the start, no violations and no open trades or pending orders.
- Split: 90%, or 100% with the "Lifetime Profit Split 100%" add-on, which Instant Flex's card doesn't offer.
- Faster cycles: "Rewards in 7 Days" on challenge models and "Rewards On Demand" on Instant Standard and Pro, both checkout add-ons.
- Amounts: at least $100. "All AquaFunded payouts are subject to a 3% processing fee." On $100K and larger accounts the first two payouts are capped at $10,000 each.
- Fee back: the evaluation fee is refunded with your fourth payout; "If you hard-breach your account before reaching your fourth payout it is not refundable."
- Scaling: 12% profit within 3 months adds 25% of the starting balance, up to $4,000,000. Funded accounts merge up to $400,000, Instant ones never.

Who can sign up for AquaFunded?
AquaFunded's country article (edited 2026-07-07) has two lists.
- Restricted, 18 countries and regions: "Cuba- Iran- Syria- Vietnam- Kenya–Albania-Algeria-North Korea-Senegal-Myanmar-Russia-Belarus-Sudan-South Sudan-Venezuela-Crimea-Donetsk-Luhansk".
- Nine countries, Instant only, at most $50K funded per trader: "Thailand – Brazil – Bulgaria – Japan – Jordan – Singapore – Malaysia – Indonesia – Philippines".
The US, the UK, Canada and Australia are on neither list. The Terms (updated March 26, 2025) have sections for residents of Australia, Canada, the EU, Japan, the UK, New Jersey and California on consumer-law warranties, liability, arbitration, language, cancellation rights and a minimum age of 16 (EU, UK); none of them bars residents from signing up. AquaFunded "may limit a Site's availability" to any "geographic area or jurisdiction." We give no legal or tax advice.
AquaFunded rules on EAs, copy trading, news and weekends
- EAs: "EAs are allowed, provided they are used as part of your own personal trading strategy." The Terms' Prohibited Trading list adds "Utilizing any third-party strategy, off-the-shelf strategy or one marketed to pass challenge accounts." Neither page defines "your own."
- Copy trading: allowed between your own accounts, AquaFunded or external; copying other traders or sharing devices to mirror trades is banned. Hedging is allowed inside one account, not across accounts.
- Banned styles: "Tick scalping, high-frequency trading, arbitrage strategies" and any "designed to exploit pricing or execution delays." "Trades held for under 2 minutes may be classified as tick scalping," and on funded accounts that profit may be removed.
- Martingale and grid: martingale is "permitted" and stop-losses are optional; no page we read names grid. There's no lot limit, but profit from a trade or position using more than 80% of the available margin is deducted.
- News: allowed. For accounts opened after 27 April 2026, profit from trades opened or closed within 5 minutes before or after red-folder news or FOMC events is capped at 0.5% of the starting balance per payout cycle, $500 on $100,000; the rest is removed with no breach.
- Overnight and weekends: "You are free to hold trades overnight and over the weekend with no restrictions."

Where do AquaFunded's own pages disagree?
- First payout. "First payout is available after just 7 days" on the homepage, and Instant payouts are "processed on demand" on the forex funding page; the rewards article says 14 days after the first funded trade, with 7 days and on demand as checkout add-ons.
- The rules page. One daily drawdown "at 4%," one maximum "at 8%," and no daily limit for Instant Standard ("Does not apply to instant standard"); the cards run 2% to 5% daily and 4% to 12% maximum, with 3% on Instant Standard (only its pre-8 September article lists none).
- Wave Stop. 2% and two strikes in its own article, which doesn't list One Step Flex; 1% and three strikes in One Step Flex's.
- Two Step Pro's trailing floor. Its article says the limit "moves with your balance both up and down," but its own example holds it at $95,000 when the account drops from $105,000 to $103,000.
- "100% refundable." The card prints it under every price, Instant included, and the sale banner says "150% Refund"; the Refund Policy pays the fee back "upon traders fourth successful profit split payment." No page we found says what the 150% covers, and the policy names only the "evaluation fee", so it doesn't say whether an Instant account's fee comes back.
- News on older accounts. "News trading is allowed on all accounts" on the rules page; the news article keeps accounts opened before 27 April 2026 on the old rule: "We do not allow news trading on Funded accounts."
- Weekend gaps. The Terms (updated March 26, 2025) still list as Prohibited Trading "Entering into an Equity CFD at or near the end of the trading day with intent of profiting from the marketing gap"; the rules page (undated) and the overnight article (2026-07-07) allow weekend holding "with no restrictions."
- Two plan cards. The forex funding page's card, under a "40% OFF" banner, adds One Step PRO and Three Step and shows other list prices: $469 for a $100K Two Step Standard (homepage: $375), both $281 after the discount.

Where we sit
We sell the Prop Firm Challenge Toolkit, a TradingView indicator that turns the rule numbers and balance you enter into daily-loss and drawdown buffers. It has no AquaFunded preset, so use its Custom rules. It doesn't read AquaFunded's dashboard, which is the source of truth. The balance you type is both its day's start and the high a trailing limit follows, so it can't see losses you've already closed today or an earlier, higher close: keep Current balance at the session's starting balance and put the day's running P&L, closed and open, in Open floating P/L.

Frequently asked questions
What are AquaFunded's rules?
They depend on the model. On 2026-10-19 AquaFunded's homepage plan card sells Instant (Standard, Pro, Flex), One Step (Standard, Flex) and Two Step (Standard, Pro, Elite). One Step targets are 9% or 10%, Two Step targets 8% or 10% then 5%, and Instant accounts have none. Every model has a daily floor reset at 00:00 UTC, a maximum loss of 4% to 12%, no time limit and a 90% split; a checkout add-on makes it 100% on every model but Instant Flex.
How does AquaFunded's daily drawdown work?
At 00:00 UTC (8:00 PM ET and 1:00 AM in London until the clocks change) AquaFunded takes the higher of your balance and your equity and sets the day's floor a share under it (Instant Pro and Flex say only "balance or equity"): 3% on One Step and Instant Standard, 4% on Two Step Elite, 5% on Two Step Standard and Pro; Instant Pro and Flex print a fixed $3,000 and $2,000 on $100,000. An open profit at midnight lifts the floor; an open loss doesn't lower it. Its own example: $102,000 of equity on a Two Step Standard account puts the floor at $96,900.
Is AquaFunded's drawdown static or trailing?
Static on Two Step Standard (8%), Two Step Elite (10%) and One Step Flex (12%). It trails on One Step Standard (6%), Two Step Pro (10%) and the three Instant models. Instant Standard's 5% moves only at the 00:00 UTC reset; the others trail the highest balance or equity, and none of these five models' articles says the trailing floor ever stops.
Does AquaFunded have a consistency rule?
On three models. Instant Standard's best day must be under 15% of the profit, Instant Pro's under 20% (accounts bought from 8 September 2026; 15% before), and Two Step Pro's under 50% once funded (accounts bought from 31 August 2026; 25% before). Breaking it doesn't breach the account; the payout waits. Instant Flex has none, and the other plan cards list none.
How do AquaFunded payouts work?
The first payout comes 14 days after your first funded trade, then every 14 days; a checkout add-on shortens the cycle to 7 days, or to on demand on Instant Standard and Pro. You need a balance above the start, no violations and every trade closed. The minimum is $100, every payout carries a 3% processing fee, and on $100K and larger accounts the first two are capped at $10,000 each. The evaluation fee comes back with your fourth payout.
Can you use EAs and trade news at AquaFunded?
EAs are allowed if they're part of your own strategy, but the Terms ban any "off-the-shelf strategy or one marketed to pass challenge accounts." Tick scalping, high-frequency trading and arbitrage are banned, and trades held for under 2 minutes may count as tick scalping. News trading is allowed, but on accounts opened after 27 April 2026, profit from trades opened or closed within 5 minutes of high-impact news is capped at 0.5% of the starting balance per payout cycle.
Can US, UK, Canadian and Australian traders join AquaFunded?
None of the four is on AquaFunded's restricted list, dated July 7, 2026. Its restricted list names 18 countries and regions, including Russia, Iran and Vietnam, and limits nine more, among them Singapore and Malaysia, to Instant models with at most $50K funded per trader. We give no legal or tax advice; check your own country's rules.
