Lucid Trading Consistency Rule: 20%, 40% or 50%, Plan by Plan

Which Lucid accounts have a consistency rule, which stage it gates, how Lucid measures your best day, what a losing day does to it and what going over costs. Every plan's rule read from Lucid's own pages on 2026-10-20, after the 2026-10-19 change that made 40% the standard to pass LucidFlex and LucidDaily, then one invented week run through all of them.

Explainer cover titled Lucid consistency: one best day, every rule. A bar chart of the post's invented 50K week, a $400 losing day included: profit reaches $3,000 on day 5 with a $1,400 best day, above the $2,800 the 50% add-on needs but under the dashed $3,500 line the 40% rule needs. LucidDirect's 20% would need $7,000.
Lucid Trading's consistency rule caps your best day as a share of your profit, and the cap depends on the plan and the stage. To pass the LucidFlex or LucidDaily evaluation, your best day must be 40% or less of your evaluation profit, or 50% if you bought that add-on; 40% became the standard on 2026-10-19. To request a payout, it's 40% of the cycle's profit on LucidPro and 20% on LucidDirect. The LucidPro evaluation, LucidFlex and LucidDaily funded accounts and live accounts have no consistency rule. Going over doesn't fail the account: you keep trading until your best day is back under the line.

Lucid's consistency rules, plan by plan

Lucid's help center gives LucidPro, LucidFlex, LucidDaily and LucidDirect a consistency page each, and puts LucidMaxx's rule on its program page. Here they are side by side, stage by stage:

Two lines need a caveat. LucidDaily's 40% comes from its customization page, edited 2026-10-19; its evaluation and consistency pages still say 50%. And on LucidPro and LucidDirect, the payout pages say "no more than" while the consistency pages say "below", so treat 40% and 20% as lines to stay under (where the pages disagree).

Sources, checked 2026-10-20: consistency pages for LucidPro, LucidFlex, LucidDaily and LucidDirect; LucidPro evaluation, LucidPro payouts, LucidFlex customization, LucidFlex funded account, LucidDaily customization, LucidDaily funded account, LucidDirect payout objectives, New LucidMaxx Program, New Live Structure.

How Lucid measures your best day

Every one of Lucid's consistency pages prints the same formula: "Largest Single Day Profit / Account Profit = Consistency Percentage". On an evaluation, the profit is your evaluation profit. On a LucidPro or LucidDirect payout, it's your "total profit during the payout cycle", and the rule "resets after each payout".

Turn it around and you get the profit you need: best day × 100 ÷ the rule. A $1,400 best day needs $2,800 at 50%, $3,500 at 40%, $4,000 at 35% and $7,000 at 20%. At 20%, that's your best day ÷ 0.20, five times your best day.

Losing days count, through the total. A losing day lowers your profit and leaves your best day where it was, so the share goes up. Lucid's pages don't spell this out; it follows from the formula.

A day isn't defined on these pages. Lucid's hours page has sessions reopen at 6:00 PM EST and positions closed by 4:45 PM EST, but none of the consistency pages says which clock a "single day" follows.

Same days, every rule

Here's one invented week on a 50K account, read by each rule in turn. The rules apply to different stages, so read each line as if the week were on that account.

DayP&LProfit so farBest dayBest day ÷ profit
1+$600$600$600100.00%
2+$1,400$2,000$1,40070.00%
3−$400$1,600$1,40087.50%
4+$800$2,400$1,40058.33%
5+$600$3,000$1,40046.67%

After day 5 the profit is $3,000, the 50K target and LucidDirect's first payout goal. Here's what each rule says about it:

Account and stageRuleProfit the rule needsMore profit needed
LucidFlex or LucidDaily evaluation, with the 50% add-on50%$2,800None: passes at the $3,000 target
LucidFlex or LucidDaily evaluation, standard40%$3,500$500
LucidMaxx evaluation (step 1)40%$3,500$500
LucidPro payout40%$3,500$500
LucidPro payout, bought or reset before 11/28/202535%$4,000$1,000
LucidDirect payout 120%$7,000$4,000

This checks the consistency rule alone. A LucidPro payout also needs the balance above its buffer ($52,600 for a $500 request on 50K), which $53,000 clears. Days smaller than $1,400 add profit without moving the bar; a bigger day becomes the new best day and moves the bar up with it.

The same $1,400 day passes with the 50% add-on, is $500 short at 40%, and is $4,000 short of a LucidDirect payout.

The losing day cost $400 of progress and nothing else: without day 3, profit would be $3,400 and the share 41.18%, still over 40% but $100 short instead of $500. Run your own days through the free Lucid consistency calculator: pick the plan, enter your days, and it shows the profit still needed.

The biggest best day that still works

At the least profit a stage asks for, your best day can be no bigger than the rule × that profit. On a LucidPro payout, the least profit is set by the buffer, not the profit goal: a $500 request needs a balance of $26,600, $52,600, $103,600 or $155,100.

AccountFlex or Daily evaluation, 40% of the targetSame, with the 50% add-onLucidPro payout 1, 40% of the profit for a $500 requestLucidDirect payout 1, 20% of the goalLucidDirect payouts 2 to 5, 20% of the goal

$50,000$1,200 of $3,000$1,500 of $3,000$1,040 of $2,600$600 of $3,000$500 of $2,500
$100,000$2,400 of $6,000$3,000 of $6,000$1,440 of $3,600$1,200 of $6,000$700 of $3,500

A bigger best day isn't a breach. It just raises the profit you need. The 50% add-on also has a cushion: Lucid's own example lets a $1,560 best day pass on a 50K account that hits $3,000 exactly, but it says the cushion "is NOT a fixed dollar amount", so the table uses 50%.

Sources: the payout and evaluation pages above, and LucidPro payouts for the buffer, checked 2026-10-20.

The fewest profitable days

The rule sets a floor on how many profitable days you need, however you size them.

RuleFewest equal profitable daysWhy
50% (the add-on)2Two equal days are exactly 50%, and the add-on asks for "50% or less"
40%3Two days can't pass: the better one is at least half the profit. Three equal days are 33.33%
35% (legacy LucidPro)3Three equal days are 33.33%
20% (LucidDirect)5, or 6 if exactly 20% doesn't countFive equal days are exactly 20%

Lucid's own wording matches the first two rows: LucidFlex passes "in as few as 3 days with 40% consistency, or 2 days with the 50% consistency add-on", and the LucidMaxx evaluation's 40% means "a potential 3 day pass". The LucidDirect plan card says "Min Day to Payout 5". That's five only if exactly 20% counts, which the consistency page's "below 20%" doesn't promise.

What going over costs

Nothing breaks, but nothing moves. On an evaluation you can't pass, and on LucidPro or LucidDirect you can't request the payout, until more profit brings the share back under the line.

  • LucidFlex evaluation: "you would keep trading until your largest day is back within it".
  • LucidDaily evaluation: "you would need to continue trading until your largest day is 50% or less". That page still has 50%.
  • LucidPro and LucidDirect payouts: "you would need to continue trading until your largest day is below 40%" (LucidPro) or "below 20%" (LucidDirect).

None of these pages calls going over a breach. What can fail the account is the Max Loss Limit, which stays in force while you trade for the extra profit. Our Lucid drawdown simulator shows where that line sits, and Lucid payout rules checks the other payout conditions.

The 50% add-on, and why some pages still say 50%

Until Lucid's pages were edited on 2026-10-19 (UTC), 50% was the standard on both LucidFlex and LucidDaily evaluations. Now it's an option at checkout: "50% (add-on): your largest day can be up to 50%, so you can pass in as few as 2 days. Added at checkout for a small fee."

  • Resets go back to 40%. "Resets use 40% consistency. To keep 50%, purchase a new evaluation with the 50% add-on."
  • It's evaluation only. Funded LucidFlex and LucidDaily accounts have no consistency rule either way.
  • The plan cards haven't caught up. On 2026-10-20 the LucidFlex and LucidDaily cards on lucidtrading.com still read "Consistency 50%". Nor has LucidDaily's evaluation page, which still says "The LucidDaily evaluation 50% consistency has cushion built in, so you can pass in two days".

Until Lucid's pages agree, plan for 40% unless your checkout shows the add-on. The rest of the LucidFlex plan is in LucidFlex rules, and LucidDirect's payout cycle in LucidDirect rules.

Where Lucid's pages disagree

  1. LucidDaily: 40% or 50%? The customization page (edited 2026-10-19) says 40%, or 50% with the add-on. The evaluation and consistency pages (2026-07-31 and 2026-07-27) say 50%, and so do the plan cards on lucidtrading.com, for LucidFlex too. We use 40%, the stricter reading.
  2. "No more than" or "below"? The LucidPro payouts and LucidDirect payout objectives pages say "no more than 40%" and "no more than 20%". The LucidPro and LucidDirect consistency pages say to keep trading until it's "below". Exactly on the line is ambiguous; stay under it.
  3. The LucidPro cutoff overlaps. The LucidPro consistency page gives 40% to accounts bought or reset "on or after 11/28/2025 at 3:00 PM EST" and 35% to those bought or reset "on or before", so an account bought at that exact minute fits both. Only that minute is affected.

Where we sit

We don't run a prop firm, we're not affiliated with Lucid Trading, and we earn nothing if you buy from Lucid. We sell the Prop Firm Challenge Toolkit, a TradingView indicator that turns rule numbers you enter into dollar buffers on your chart.

It isn't the tool for this rule. Its Custom rules take a consistency percentage, and it has a consistency tracker row, but in the version we sell (v1.4.0) that row can't follow your days: it only knows the balance you type in now, so it never sees a best day and reads 0%. It also doesn't start over after a payout. For Lucid's check, use the free Lucid consistency calculator with the numbers on Lucid's dashboard.

What the Toolkit does on a Lucid account is the part that can close it while you build those days. With Custom rules it shows your room above the Max Loss Limit, and to the daily loss limit where your plan has one, from the balance and open P&L you type. Its daily limit is a percentage of the balance you type, which it treats as the day's start, so it can't see losses you've already closed today. It locks its trailing floor at your starting balance, $100 under Lucid's lock. It doesn't read Lucid's dashboard, which stays the source of truth, and the high it trails is the balance you type in, not your account's history. The settings, and where they differ from Lucid, are in LucidFlex rules and LucidDirect rules.

The week above is invented, and each line reads it against Lucid's published rule only. It isn't a forecast, and it says nothing about whether a Lucid account is worth buying. Lucid's dashboard decides your pass and your payout, not this page. If a rule here no longer matches Lucid's pages, email support@pulltrade.app and we'll correct it in public.

Frequently asked questions

Does Lucid Trading have a consistency rule?

Yes, on some stages. As read on 2026-10-20: 40% to pass the LucidFlex or LucidDaily evaluation, or 50% if you bought that add-on; 40% to request a LucidPro payout (35% on accounts bought or reset before 11/28/2025 at 3:00 PM EST); 20% to request a LucidDirect payout; and 40% in step 1 of the invite-only LucidMaxx. The LucidPro evaluation, LucidFlex and LucidDaily funded accounts and every live account have none.

What is the Lucid 50% consistency rule?

Since Lucid's pages were edited on 2026-10-19 (UTC), it's an add-on for the LucidFlex and LucidDaily evaluations: your best day can be up to 50% of your evaluation profit instead of 40%, so two equal days can pass. You buy it at checkout for a fee Lucid doesn't publish, and a reset goes back to 40%. Some older LucidDaily pages and the plan cards still show 50% as the standard.

How does LucidDirect's 20% consistency rule work?

To request a LucidDirect payout, your largest single-day profit must be no more than 20% of your profit in the payout cycle, and the rule starts over after each payout. The profit you need is five times your best day: a $1,400 day needs $7,000. Five equal days sit exactly on 20%, and Lucid's consistency page asks for below 20%, so plan on six profitable days.

Is Lucid's consistency rule 35%?

Only on LucidPro funded accounts bought or reset before 11/28/2025 at 3:00 PM EST. Lucid moved the LucidPro payout rule to 40% for accounts bought or reset after that, and no other current Lucid plan uses 35%.

Do losing days count in Lucid's consistency rule?

Yes, through the total. Lucid divides your largest single-day profit by your profit, so a losing day lowers the total while your best day stays put, and the share goes up. In our invented week, a $400 losing day turns 41.18% into 46.67%.

Does breaking Lucid's consistency rule fail your account?

No. Lucid's pages say to keep trading until your largest day is back within the limit: on an evaluation you can't pass yet, and on LucidPro or LucidDirect you can't request the payout yet. None of Lucid's consistency pages calls going over a breach.

Do Lucid live accounts have a consistency rule?

No. Lucid's live-program page says there are no consistency requirements for live accounts, whichever plan you came from: LucidPro, LucidFlex, LucidDirect or LucidDaily.
