What MQL4 says

134 ERR_NOT_ENOUGH_MONEY
Not enough money

From MQL4's table of error codes, read 24 October 2026. An Expert Advisor reads it with GetLastError() after a call fails; the Experts and Journal tabs print what the EA logs.

What causes it

Free margin is too small for the order. MQL4's AccountFreeMarginCheck page: if the free margin is insufficient, error 134 (ERR_NOT_ENOUGH_MONEY) is generated.

How to fix it

Check the margin before you send. Call AccountFreeMarginCheck(Symbol(), OP_BUY or OP_SELL, lots) before OrderSend() and send only if it returns more than 0; otherwise cut the lots or skip the trade.

The same error in MT5

MT5 returns it as a trade server code instead: MT5 error 10019: There is not enough money to complete the request.

These tools calculate from your inputs, supported historical records or explicitly labelled teaching examples. They do not verify a live account, predict future returns or confirm that a broker or prop-firm rule has been met. Missing costs, floating losses and changed market conditions can materially change outcomes. Trading can lose the capital committed to it; check the stated method and your account specifications.
