TRADE_RETCODE_REJECT

Request rejected

Cause and fix for 10006

What MQL5 says

10006 TRADE_RETCODE_REJECT
Request rejected

From MQL5's table of trade server return codes, read 22 October 2026. An Expert Advisor finds it in MqlTradeResult.retcode; the Experts and Journal tabs print it.

What causes it

The trade server refused the request without a more specific code. The reason is on the broker's side: an account or symbol restriction, a rule of the prop firm, or a price the dealer will not accept.

The fix in MQL5

Log the reply's comment and retcode_external, which carry the broker's own reason, and take them to the broker if the reason is not clear.

Before
#include <Trade/Trade.mqh>
CTrade trade;

void OpenBuy(const double lots)
  {
   if(!trade.Buy(lots, _Symbol))
      Print("Buy failed");
  }
After
#include <Trade/Trade.mqh>
CTrade trade;

void OpenBuy(const double lots)
  {
   if(!trade.Buy(lots, _Symbol))
      PrintFormat("Buy rejected: retcode %u, external %d, server says \"%s\"",
                  trade.ResultRetcode(), trade.ResultRetcodeExternal(), trade.ResultComment());
  }

A link with your numbers carries them after the # sign, which browsers do not send to servers, and the page takes them out of the address before any analytics loads. Limits and trading risk

These tools calculate from your inputs, supported historical records or explicitly labelled teaching examples. They do not verify a live account, predict future returns or confirm that a broker or prop-firm rule has been met. Missing costs, floating losses and changed market conditions can materially change outcomes. Trading can lose the capital committed to it; check the stated method and your account specifications.
